Our consultants have worked on a variety of high profile antitrust cases. Our work has mainly focused on commodities price fixing and collusion, but we’ve also consulted on cases involving boycotts and other antitrust activities government by state law and the Sherman Act. Our commodities experience includes lawsuits directly between corporations, as well as both direct and indirect purchaser class actions involving individuals and businesses as plaintiffs. Some examples of significant antitrust litigation we’ve consulted on include:
- Years of research and consulting on the Rambus Antitrust Litigation in San Francisco Superior Court, where Hynix, Micron, and Samsung faced $4B in damages with the potential for trebling them. Hynix and Micron achieved a defense verdict after a months long trial following Samsung’s settlement.
- SRAM Antitrust Litigation in the Oakland Division of the Northern District of California, involving direct and indirect purchaser classes.
- Various work on the TFT-LCD Antitrust Litigation.
- A suit in which the Mexican national oil company Pemex sued several American petroleum distributors and refiners for inadvertently purchasing stolen petroleum distillates.
